2-cycle engine is designed for high-rpm
performance. How long it holds up depends on
whether or not it gets the exact gas to oil mix
it needs at all times.
A lot of 2-cycle motorcycles leave the oil
mix to you. They recommend a gas
to oil ratio of 20 or 25:1. But
that’s just not good enough.

It’s far too heavy for idling,
yet provides barely enough
lubrication for higher rpm’s.
Besides, mixing by hand is a mess.
Yamaha has a better system. An
automatic oil injection system we call
Autolube.
All you have to worry about is put-
ting the gas in the gas tank and the oil
in the oil tank. Autolube takes it from
there, by automatically calculating,

mixing and pumping the ideal gas-oil ratio,
depending on your engine’s rpm’s and power
load at that particular moment.
So, whether you’re cranking along at full
throttle, idling at a stoplight, or somewhere in
r__, between, your engine is happy. And
that should make you happy. Because
you get improved performance.
An engine you can count on. Bet-
ter fuel economy. Cleaner spark
plugs. Less carbon to choke up
your engine. And less smoke
environment around
you (which will keep
throttle just about every-
body happy).
