    Description

These are ORIGINAL Boris Schatz solid bronze plaques made circa 1920 and sold by the Bezalel School in Jerusalem. These originals are not to be confused with the fakes / copies which flood ebay, which are: 1) Those made of sterling silver, are hollow, and come mounted on a frame. Those were made in the 1970's, for tourists visiting Israel 2) Copper or brass (sometimes stated as bronze), plaques that are hollow / have no backing. Those are new copies. Both the 1970's silver issues and the copper/brass issues have no antique value.
Each of these plaques measure 2.75 inches by 2 inches except for the rectangular plaque which is 3.75 inches by 1.75 inches. These plaques title each subject in Hebrew, and are signed with the Hebrew initials of Schatz. Shown is a portrait of Professor Gotthard Deutsch, a memorial to the war hero Joseph Trumpeldor (worn/tarnished silver-plated bronze), the end of the Sabbath service, the prophet Jeremiah writing on his scroll with the city of Jerusalem behind him, the blowing of the Shofar during the High Holidays, and mourning the death of Theodor Herzl
No shipping to Israel due to the unreliability of the Israeli post office for delivery.
