The dome pad is designed for a quick and easy installation at any type of land, with no use of concrete. The thermal layer is reflecting the heat back indoors during the winter, and dispersing the summer heat to keep the dome cool. It keeps 97% of the heat, using the Thermos™ technology. The two-ply Climalit™ windows are placed facing South, and South-west for maximum solar gain during the winter. Our domes require little or no heating in winter.
The included hardwood Larch Floor is known for its’ antiseptic, antibacterial, insect, thermite, and rodent repelling properties.
The geodesic dome shape is a copy of a rigid carbon molecule, so the snow loads are close to 200 lbs/sq. ft., but the snow sliding surface of the Heavy Duty, Fire Resistant PVC canvas outer shell is slippery enough for the snow to slide before building up.
We use only fire-resistant materials to comply with all building and fire codes worldwide. All the materials are approved for food and hotel industry, and inherit the original health certificates.
Due to the natural aerodynamics of a dome structure, the allowed wind loads are close to 200 mph, anchored from the updrafts.
The rigid geodesic, self supporting, dome structure, and the absence of concrete, make our domes 100% Earthquake Proof.
The Standard Kit includes everything required to install a Dome Guesthouse or a Glamping Pad at any plane surface with no concrete.
1. Structural lumber base frame. 2x4 Douglas Fir + hardware.
2. Hardwood floor, and decking. Grade AB Siberian Larch.
3. Partition walls for custom floor plan kit. 2x4 Douglas Fir fame with Pine Lining or Birch Plywood for both sides.
4. All the doors with knobs and locks, and 3 triangular fixed Climalit™ two-ply glazing. Custom windows schedule,
based on solar trajectory.
5. Aluminum Alloy Geodesic Dome Frame with hardware and tools.
6. Fire resistant, weatherproof, PVC airtight canvas membrane with snow-slide surface. (White - standard, optional - RAL colors)
7. Radiant Heat Guard insulation with vapor barrier.
8. Fire resistant interior tensioned membrane. (canvas for the Firefighters suits)
9. Passive Automatic Climate Control, and Ventilation System.
10. Installation manuals, custom floor plan, and consulting.
